Tikka T3x – heavy bolt shroud springs

These Tikka T3x – heavy bolt shroud springs are a heavier version of the regular strenght bolt shroud springs.

The heavier springs are meant for steel and/or titanium shrouds from other manufacturers.

Like the regular strength shroud springs, this is a set of three identical tapered coil springs designed for the Tikka T3 and T3x. This design is virtually identical to the original Tikka T3x bolt shroud spring, and these heavier springs are coiled from music wire and then zinc plated.

The original Tikka T3 had a plastic shroud that didn’t require a spring to prevent metal-on-metal noise from occurring due to a necessary tolerance that the bolt shroud has designed into it when attached to the firing pin assembly. However the Tikka T3x bolt shroud does, and a shroud spring is required. This spring can be easily misplaced during cleaning and maintenance.

We include 3 springs (all identical) to minimize the likelihood of them ever needing to be reordered.

Compatibility:

• May fit aftermarket bolt shrouds from other manufacturers, typically made from steel or titanium.
• Fits the original Tikka T3x metal bolt shroud
• Will also fit our own aluminum alloy shrouds, but the extra tension they provide is not required.
