Tikka Recoil Lug – stainless steel and skeletonized

This skeletonized stainless Tikka Recoil Lug for older Tikka rifle models is a bulletproof replacement for the factory recoil lug. This recoil lug maximizes the accuracy potential of the flat bottomed Tikka rifle actions made between 1989 and 2002 (Tikka reference: S584T299). These actions use an L-shape recoil lug originally constructed from aluminum alloy. This version is machined from 17-4 stainless steel which is a significantly harder material and better suited for all chamberings, particularly the magnums.

We’ve tightened up the inside diameter of the hole which anchors the action to the lug (nominally 12.05mm ID), which means less movement under recoil and a firm press fit being required during installation.We’ve then skeletonized the recoil lugs with a 5mm end mill to minimize weight.

This Tikka Recoil Lug is compatible with the older Tikka models: Tikka M558, M590, M595, M658, M690 and M695

Note

The 12.05mm dimension may require enlarging slightly depending on the dimensions of your specific action but it fits the individual actions we have tested it on during prototyping.
