Lithgow Crossover LA101 rimfire rifle.

Benefits

Your Lithgow LA101 factory trigger achieves at best 4.4lbs (2kg). These triggers aren’t adjustable, the only method to safely achieve a lighter pull weight is to replace the trigger spring with a properly designed lighter and slightly longer replacement.

As a result with this Lithgow LA101 trigger spring kit you can have a minimum pullweight of 1.6lbs (730 gram) when installed correctly. Obiously this improves your shooting performance to great extend.

* Results will vary slightly between individual rifles and different trigger pull gauges. Our pull weight is measured using the RCBS trigger pull scale.

Trigger springs included

The trigger spring kit includes:

• Sear spring;
• Trigger pull spring.

Material

The springs are made from high quality spring steel wire.

Installation

Important: all trigger work including testing needs to be done on an unloaded rifle! If unsure on installation, we strongly advise to have the job done by a qualified and competent gunsmith.

Minimum recommended tools for installation are:

• small nylon/brass tipped hammer
• small pin punches of various sizes
• metric allen key set going down to size 1.5mm
• small circlip pliers
• brass scraper/pick to remove blue Dykem cross check (or similar thread marker)

Testing your trigger

Test the trigger function with the replaced trigger spring extensively upon reassembly by slam closing the bolt and dropping the rifle onto the butt pad. Obviously the trigger must not fall during these tests. However if it does, adjust the grub screw and repeat these tests untill your trigger is safe. Please always ensure you have a safe trigger.

Results and further improvement

We measure the given pull weight of the trigger with an RCBS gauge. However, results may vary slightly between individual rifles and trigger pull gauges. In addition, if you want further improvements polishing the internal trigger components with varying grits of rouge compounds on a sisal wheel / buff might help.
