CZ SST trigger spring kit (models 453, 527, 550)

The CZ SST trigger spring kit replaces the factory spring. The upgraded spring for the CZ Single Set Trigger (‘SST’) can be set between +/- 1lb to 2.5 lbs* when installed correctly**.

These springs replace your original trigger pull spring on the CZ single set trigger. The set trigger spring doesn’t require replacement and the installation of our replacement trigger spring doesn’t affect its function.

This kit includes 3 trigger pull springs which are all the same and will deliver a safe and repeatable pull weight given above.

Good quality replacement trigger springs are uncommon for these rifles, our replacement is a low cost alternative to purchasing an expensive aftermarket trigger.

Note: we experienced that CZ has two different versions of this trigger. One of them will not fit these springs. Therefore please perform the two checks below BEFORE ordering.

1. Measure the diameter of the hole where the trigger spring is located. See picture 6. If your triggers has he same diameter as on the picture these replacement springs will not fit your trigger.
2. Measure the length of your trigger spring and the diameter of the trigger spring. See picture 7 and 8. If the length of your spring measures around 11.7mm and the diameter around 2.8mm these replacement springs will not fit your trigger.

Further improvements are possible by polishing the internal trigger components with varying grits of rouge compounds on a sisal wheel / buff. Once the new trigger spring has been installed, the trigger can be adjusted to suit the shooter’s preference with a number of guides available online on how to do this (guide #1 and guide #2).

* Results may vary slightly between individual rifles and trigger pull gauges. Our pull weight is measured using an RCBS gauge.

** We supply replacement springs only. If unsure on installation, we highly recommend having a qualified and competent gunsmith do the job. Slight variations between different rifles may result in an unsafe trigger when fitting these springs. Always ensure the rifle is unloaded before commencing work and test trigger function extensively upon reassembly whilst rifle is unloaded. Slam closing the bolt and dropping the rifle onto the buttpad (both whilst unloaded) is imperative. Adjust the grub screw until a safe trigger is achieved.
