W2S FTR

Purpose

We developed the W2S FTR rifle stock for the international FTR discipline. In this disicpline you need to use a bi-pod and it is best to use a rear bag as well. The allowed calibers in the FTR discipline are .308 and .223 for which most shooters use long and heavy barrels.

Design aspects

However the FTR discipline also has a weight limit of approximate 8kg. This means that the weight of the other components, like the scope but also the rifle stock, are critical items. Equally important for the complete set-up is the stability of the rifle with the long barrel shot of a bi-pod. Therefore we designed the W2S FTR rifle stock with these aspects in mind, stability and weight.

The W2S FTR rifle stock is 960mm long to get the most stability with the long and heavy barrels. For the weight the W2S FTR rifle stock has a slim forend with weight saving pockets in the barrel channel. This makes the riflestock perfect for the FTR discipline.

Off-the-shelf vs personalized

W2S specializes in custom configurable stocks for which we developed an unique 3D manufacturing approach. This means there is no standard configuration of a FTR rifle stock. There are many different configurations possible.

But some customers don’t want to wait or don’t feel comfortable configuring a full custom personalized stock. Therefore in the shop you find our configurations we think are the best value for performance and are readily available.
