Who are we?

We are a small innovative company located in the Netherlands / Europe with a passionate dedication for designing and manufacturing laminated bolt action rifle stocks.

We focus on specific shooting desciplines, like FClass-Open, FTR, Target Rifle and many more. We developed and improved an unique method for designing and manufacturing rifle stocks making use of CAD/CAM, 3D scanning and printing technologies. This method makes it possible to offer the shooter a highly customizable stock that will meet the shooters demands.

The start

Our journey started back in 2015 with the observation that there was only a choice between a factory produced rifle stock with adjustables or a fully hand crafted stock.

If we can customize our cars with options to fit our needs why not a rifle stock? We all have different wishes and needs and the same is true for shooters. No shooter is equal and we believe that the rifle stock plays a very important part in shooting results.  In that way having a rifle stock that fits you makes a whole difference.

The goal

The goal we defined is to offer an alternative to mass produced rifle stocks that offer little to no customisation, while avoiding the time and cost aspects of hand crafted stocks.

To make this possible a new method of working is created. That method uses existing design and manufacturing technologies like CAD/CAM, 3D scanning & printing and CNC production, but with a different approach. We started with a blank sheet, a well known 3D CAD environment, a lot of enthousiasm and a lot of coffee.

The current status

In the past years we gradually developed and improved our intended working method. Untill now we have designed eight different stock models in this way.

Each rifle stock model has one or more custom options. The number of options differ per stock model. We have reached our goal and now have the ability to serve our customers with unqiue personalization possibilities. We sell our stocks all over the world from UK, Italy to Australia and New-Zealand and they have been met with praise from rifle builders and shooters alike.

The sequel

We add the remaining models in the coming months. Parallel to that we focus on making new action inlets for the existing riflestock models.

Early 2022 two new stock models will be available. The first is a laminate hunting stock model based on our thumbhole grip. The second is an 1-mile stock model for cartridges in the .300 PRC range. We developed plans for creating our own laminated two-tone base material from hardwood. Last but not least we will start building our own custom rifles on our stocks.

Shooters

We developed a unique 3D concept of designing and manufacturing rifle stocks. Each rifle stock model has one or more options for personal customization. These options are divided in four different groups for your convenience. This concept is truly unique for Wood2Stock. Please check the riflestock model page for more information about this.

We make three types of inlets depending on the action. We have drop-in-fit inlets for actions that don’t need per-se bedding (like for example our rimfire models). For the round magazine based actions like the Remington 700 and Roessler Titan 6 we developed custom bedding blocks and inlets. For custom benchrest actions like Kelbly and BAT we make full epoxy custom bedding inlets. Sometimes we offer multiple type of inlets per action model. In this way you can choose what inlet type suits you best. We design and produce our own aluminium bedding blocks or use them from the action manufacturer if available, like the Barnard’s.

Our stocks are availble as blank (without an action inlet), semi-finished (with an action inlet) or ready-to-go (fully finished and bedded). All our stocks come with a barrel channel inlet. Our default delivery state is either blank or semi-finished. On request we can finish the stock to a ready-to-go status, but only for drop-in-fit or bedding block type of inlets. This means that we bed the bedding block, if applicable, and finish the stock. In that case you only need to mount your barreled action and you are ready-to-go out shooting. Because bedding and finishing a stock needs expensive labor work, you also have the possibility to do this work yourself and save money.

We produce our stocks to the highest standards with high-end CNC-machines leading to consistent top quality, time after time. We work with you to serve you in the best possible way we can, no matter what type of stock you choose. Every aspect of the stock is designed well thought out. In our designs we focus a lot on the grips. The part you hold must feel as comfortable as possible.

We ship all over the world. Our standard configurations of stocks are available through the shop. If you want a custom stock, you fill in the request form on the model page of the rifle stock model. In this form you find options to check about your future stock. As soon as we receive your request, we start a dialoque to the point where we give you a quote and an expected delivery time. For customers outside Europe who wants a stock found in the shop, please sent us an email.

Rifle Builders

Depending on your market and your customer requirements we can make special stock configurations for you that are your ‘standard’ stocks. This is possible with our unique 3D concept regarding personalization options. In this way you can make a difference to your customers and let your brand stand-out. You can choose between three different delivery states, blank, semi-finished and ready-to-go. In this way you can decide how much work you want to do yourself. If you want to focus on your metal work instead of doing stock work, the ready-to-go option is something to consider. Because we use high-end CNC milling machines, the barrel channels are straight and in the middle. Also our action inlets fit 100% and don’t need additional milling or any rework. You won’t loose time doing additional stock work which means you deliver your projects faster, leading to potential more business.

Before shipment we install all parts and check it for fit and function such as the adjustable buttplate and cheek piece mechanisms. We also check all other parts like Anschutz-rails, trigger guards and pillar holes as well. This means you get a rifle stock without suprises.

We have no minimum order quantities. In this way you won’t have the risk of ordering products that stay on the shelf.

For ordering you will get a login. You will find order request forms for the stock models you are interested in. This is set up as easy as possible. You can request for standard and/or custom configurations. After we receive your request, we send you a quote and an expected delivery time.
