Description

The T1x bolt shroud is not just a decorative part. This is because the bolt shroud protects the shooter’s face in the rare event of a cartridge rupture or failure. In that situation hot gas and powder debris can travel back through the bolt body via the firing pin hole.

The factory plastic T1 bolt shroud is far from strong. Lumley machined the Tikka T1X faceted bolt shroud from high-grade 7075-T76 aluminum alloy with tight internal tolerances and weights 0.53oz (14.8g).

This bolt shroud is also significantly stronger and harder than other aftermarket shrouds made from 6061 grade alloy. You will also notice the lack of slop when replacing your factory bolt shroud with this one.

• A replacement retaining pin is included
• This retaining pin is packed separately as it can become stuck inside the shroud during shipping, please be aware of this when unpacking
• Designed to be installed with the original factory cocking indicator (replacement not included)
• Fits both right-handed and left-handed rifles
