Description
Description
This Tikka T1X/T3X and Sako trigger spring kit kit includes 3 trigger springs with the option at checkout of selecting either 3x ultralight springs (all the same) or an ultralight, light and medium (1 of each)
Supported rifle models
The Tikka T1X/T3X and Sako trigger spring kit is also compatible with the Sako 75/85/A7 rifles. This spring kit replaces your original factory spring whilst maintaining a safe, clean and repeatable break every time you pull the trigger.
Benefits
Your factory trigger achieves at best 2lbs when adjusted to minimum safe setting. With this Tikka/Sako trigger spring kit you can have a pullweight of 1lb, 1.5lb or 2lb which improves your shooting performance. Therefore this spring kit saves you hundreds of dollars on a aftermarket trigger and is therefore a worthwhile investment.
Trigger springs included
The trigger spring kit includes 3 plated trigger springs each spring having it’s own pull weight and identifying color.
- Ultralight ~1lb / (+/- 450 gram) (gold color)
- Light ~1.5lb (+/- 680 gram) (silver color)
- Medium ~2lb (+/- 900 gram) (black color)
Material
The springs are made from high quality spring steel wire and plated which maximizes corrosion resistance.
Installation
Important: all trigger work including testing needs to be done on an unloaded rifle!
For installation see the images with the explanation.
The ultralight springs break cleanly and consistently at the listed pull weights* when installed correctly**.
*We measure the given pull weight of the trigger with an RCBS gauge. However, results may vary slightly between individual rifles and trigger pull gauges.
** We supply replacement springs only. If unsure on installation and/or not getting the desired results, we highly recommend having a qualified and competent gunsmith do the job. Slight variations between different rifles may result in an unsafe trigger when fitting these springs. Further improvements are possible by polishing the internal trigger components with varying grits of rouge compounds on a sisal wheel / buff.
Again, if unsure on installation, we strongly advise to have the job done by a qualified and competent gunsmith.
Testing your trigger
Always ensure the rifle is unloaded before commencing work. Test the trigger function with the replaced trigger spring extensively upon reassembly by slam closing the bolt and dropping the rifle onto the butt pad (both whilst unloaded). Obviously the trigger must not fall during these tests. However if it does, adjust the grub screw and repeat these tests untill your trigger is safe. Please always ensure you have a safe trigger.
Again, if unsure on installation and/or proper functioning of the trigger, we strongly advise to have the job done by a qualified and competent gunsmith.
