General

This Remington oversized shotgun safety (dome head) replaces your factory safety. This safety fits the Remington 870, 1100, 7600 and other models (see compatibility list below).

Benefits

This oversized safety is much easier to engage compared to the small factory safety button. The oversized safety can for example easy be operated with gloves.

This is a durable oversized safety that never wears out, is highly-resistant to corrosion and has the best finish options available anywhere on the market. The deep serrations provide a very grippy surface for all weather conditions.

Material

Lumley machined the safety from hardened 17-4 grade stainless steel. The safety has tough DLC (black color) coating.

Installation

If unsure on installation, we highly recommend having a qualified and competent gunsmith do the job. Therefore always ensure the firearm is unloaded before commencing work and test that the safety functions exactly as it should upon reassembly whilst the firearm is unloaded.

Be aware that the extra length and size that this safety provides will facilitate easier engagement. This allows the button to move in the left direction (safety disengaged and ready to fire). Therefore care needs to be taken when handling the firearm to ensure that this does not occur unexpectedly. Moving the safety to the right (safety engaged) has no substantial change to that of the factory safety design.
